Description

There is an old belief that elephants carry fortune on their backs, and this ring makes that promise tangible. Two elephants face each other across a wide, arched face of warm yellow chalcedony, their forms rendered in sterling silver with what appears to be diamond accents set between them, lending the composition a quiet ceremonial gravity. The silhouette is broad and considered: 1.3 inches (approximately 3.3 cm) across and 0.4 inches (approximately 1 cm) in height, the ring carries its 14.5 grams with an easy, settled confidence on the finger. The elephant motif draws from a long lineage of auspicious Indian jewellery, appearing in temple adornment traditions from Nagercoil to Rajasthan, where silversmiths have long used the form to anchor protective meaning into wearable objects. The chalcedony itself, a translucent citrine-toned stone, sits as the centrepiece, its warm golden hue warming the polished sterling setting around it. Wear it against an ivory silk kurta for a festive lunch, where the yellow stone reads as an extension of gold without competing with heavier pieces. It works equally well with a simple white linen shirt and antique earrings for a considered, curated everyday look. Available in size 8, the ring is finished in polished sterling silver, a metal that wears lightly and ages gracefully with regular care. At 14.5 grams it has the reassuring heft of something made to last, not merely to impress.
