wear it well,
Jewellery care
Handmade jewellery asks for very little, a dry cloth, a closed box and a small habit. Follow these and a piece will outlive all of us.
Last on, first off
Put jewellery on after perfume, hairspray, lotion and make-up have dried, and take it off before you undress. Alcohol and oils are what dull a finish, not time.
Keep it dry
No showers, swimming pools, gyms or dishwashing. Chlorine and sweat corrode solder joints and lift Kundan foil faster than anything else.
Store it separately
Each piece in its own pouch, flat and closed. Stones scratch metal and chains knot themselves the moment they share a box.
Wipe after wear
Ten seconds with the soft dry cloth we include removes the skin oils that build into tarnish. No water, no toothpaste, no ultrasonic cleaners.
Do & don't
Please do
- Use the cotton pouch and box the piece arrived in
- Wipe gently with a dry microfibre or flannel cloth
- Fasten clasps before storing so chains do not tangle
- Keep silver with an anti-tarnish strip or a piece of chalk
- Send it to us for a free polish whenever it looks tired
Please don't
- Wear it in the shower, pool, sea or to the gym
- Use toothpaste, baking soda, ultrasonic or steam cleaners
- Soak Kundan, Polki, Meenakari or pearl pieces in any liquid
- Store in a bathroom, car or anywhere humid and warm
- Pull on a stuck ring, soap it or come to the studio
