Description

There are rings, and then there are rings that remember. This Kundan ring is set in warm brass, worked in the north Indian tradition where the stone is not merely placed but held, wrapped in refined foils and pressed into a bed of lac so that light travels through it rather than bouncing away. The flat-set Kundan face sits at the centre of a structured bezel, its surface composed with the deliberate calm that Jaipur's goldsmithing quarters have always preferred: no excess, no restlessness, only the measured weight of a craft that predates the modern idea of jewellery entirely. Brass here is not a compromise but a considered choice, allowing the artisan to achieve the depth of surface that Kundan demands without the resistance of harder metals. The ring weighs 14 grams, substantial enough to be felt, present on the finger without being theatrical. For evening, wear it with a chanderi silk kurta in ivory or deep plum, letting the ring carry the occasion quietly. For a wedding or festive gathering, pair it with a tissue-silk saree and minimal gold at the ear, so the Kundan's characteristic flat lustre becomes the single deliberate note. The brass base has been finished to resist daily tarnish, and the lac-set stone is seated firmly within its foil. Sizing follows standard Indian ring measurements; please refer to the size guide at checkout for an accurate fit. At 14 grams, the ring wears with pleasing solidity throughout the day.
