Description

There are rings, and then there are rings that ask you to slow down. This Kundan ring in mint is built on a brass base, a choice that carries its own quiet honesty. Kundan, the ancient Mughal-era technique perfected in the ateliers of Jaipur, involves setting uncut or polished stones within refined gold foil channels; here, that same patient grammar of setting is applied to brass, making the craft accessible without surrendering its character. The mint colourway gives the piece a cool, almost celadon quality, reminiscent of the pale enamelled grounds one finds in Bikaner Meenakari work. At 20 grams, the ring has genuine presence on the finger, a weight that speaks to its layered construction rather than any superficial plating. The Kundan-set focal panel sits proud of the band, drawing attention to the stone enclosure at its centre. Wear it against the ivory cuffs of a Lucknowi chikankari kurta for a late afternoon gathering, or slide it onto a single finger beside a plain gold band for a contemporary office look that still carries cultural memory. The mint tone bridges ivory, sage and dusty rose with equal ease. The ring weighs 20 grams and is crafted in brass, which wears durably through daily use. Sizes are available to order; do confirm your ring size before purchasing, as the sculptural Kundan panel means resizing is limited. Store away from moisture to preserve the setting's integrity.
