Description

There are rings, and then there are rings that make a quiet declaration. Kundan is among the oldest inlay traditions in Indian jewellery, carried forward through generations of karigars most famously concentrated in Jaipur, where gold foil and refined wax lac form the invisible architecture beneath each set stone. Here, that same spirit is translated into brass, making the technique accessible without diminishing its visual authority. The ring arrives in two colours, green and pink, each version centred on a faceted glass stone held within a raised Kundan-set bezel. The foil beneath the stone catches and reflects light with an almost liquid warmth, while the brass base, finished to a rich gold tone, frames the motif in a silhouette that reads as ceremonial yet wearable. At fourteen grams, the ring carries genuine presence on the finger. For festive afternoons, pair the green version with a silk kurta in ivory or mustard; the pink sits equally well against the deep plum or rose of a contemporary lehenga blouse. Both colours translate beautifully into Indo-western dressing, particularly alongside chanderi or tissue separates at a mehendi or an intimate celebratory gathering. The ring weighs fourteen grams, substantial enough to feel considered on the hand without becoming cumbersome through an evening. Brass, when cared for correctly and kept away from moisture, retains its warm lustre across many wearings. The fixed-band construction means sizing should be confirmed carefully before purchase.
