There is a quiet drama in a stone left exactly as the earth made it. This sterling silver ring is built around a single uncut labradorite, set in an open bezel that allows the stone to speak without interruption. Labradorite is among the most mercurial of gems: its surface shifts between deep charcoal, midnight blue and a sudden flash of teal or copper-gold depending on the angle of light, a phenomenon known as labradorescence. The setting honours this quality by refusing to compete with it. The band is worked in sterling silver, polished to a clean finish that keeps the eye on the stone rather than the metalwork. Weighing just three grams and rising one inch (approximately 2.5 cm) at its tallest point, the ring carries a sculptural presence without bulk. Wear it with a handwoven cotton sari in slate or indigo, where the labradorite's blue-grey flash reads as an extension of the cloth's own depth.
