Description

Devotion, distilled to its sharpest edge. The trishul has been cast in sterling silver with a quiet confidence that belongs to the old temple-jewellery tradition: three prongs rising from a compact silhouette, no wider than 1.5 cm (0.6 inches) at its broadest, standing just under 4 cm (1.5 inches) tall. Flanking it, or suspended from it, a miniature damru echoes the percussion of cosmic time. The real distinction, however, lies in the certified natural karungali drop. Ebony black, dense with grain and a quiet lustre, karungali, the wood of Saturn and ascetic practice in South Indian ritual vocabulary, is seldom seen set alongside silver in pendant form. The pairing is deliberate: silver cools and purifies; karungali grounds and protects. Together they carry a theological logic that predates fashion. Weighing just 4 grams, the piece sits close to the sternum without burden. Thread it on a black waxed cord for a spare, devotional look that reads beautifully against an off-white handloom kurta or a plain cotton dhoti shirt. Equally, it settles on a delicate silver chain beneath the collar of a structured linen blazer, speaking quietly to those who know what they are seeing. The sterling silver holds its finish well with minimal care, a gentle polish and dry storage is sufficient. At free size, the pendant fits any chain gauge without adaptation. Its restrained dimensions make it comfortable for daily wear and composed enough for a puja occasion.
