Description

She is Tripura Bhairavi, sovereign of the three worlds, rendered in silver. The Tripura Bhairavi Yantra is one of the Dasha Mahavidya yantras, a geometric diagram that encodes divine feminine energy in a language older than script. Here, the sacred geometry is rendered in sterling silver: concentric triangles, lotus petals and the bindu at the centre are pressed and chased into a pendant that measures 1.15 inches in height by 0.90 inches in width (approximately 2.9 cm by 2.3 cm), and weighs a considered 3 grams. Sterling silver carries a particular quality of cool luminosity, and the engraved yantra lines catch light with the precision of a devotional manuscript. This is a tradition that runs deep in tantric silverwork across Bengal and Rajasthan, where silversmiths have long translated sacred geometry into wearable form, preserving both the proportions and the intention of the original yantra diagrams. Wear it close to the skin on a fine silver chain, against a white or ivory kurta for daily practice, or layered with an antique silk sari for a festival that calls for quiet spiritual adornment rather than display. It sits equally at home at a puja gathering as at a contemplative ceremony. The pendant's free-size design suits all necks, and its 3-gram weight makes it comfortable for sustained wear. The sterling silver finish is durable enough for everyday use and mellows gracefully over time.
