Description

There are symbols that do not merely decorate; they speak. The trishul and damru together are among the oldest dyads in Shaivite iconography, one representing divine will made manifest, the other the first sound of creation. This pendant renders both in sterling silver, the trishul's three prongs rising cleanly above a damru caught mid-turn at its base, the whole composition measuring 2.2 inches (approximately 5.6 cm) in height and 0.65 inches (approximately 1.7 cm) in width. At 6 grams, the piece carries real substance without excess. The silverwork is restrained and devotional in character, in the tradition of votive silver objects long produced across Rajasthan and the temple towns of the South, where the karigar understands that sacred motifs are diminished by ornament and honoured by clarity. The finish is polished sterling, cool and precise against the skin. Worn on a fine silver chain over a crisp white kurta, it reads as an act of quiet faith. Against a silk blouse under an evening drape, the vertical silhouette becomes unexpectedly elegant, a conversation between the sacred and the considered. The free-size pendant suits any chain weight, and at just 6 grams it sits without pulling. The sterling silver construction is suited to daily wear and responds well to gentle polishing. A meaningful piece to offer at a thread ceremony, a festive gathering, or simply as a considered everyday devotional.
