Description

There are prayers that do not need words, only metal and intention. This pendant holds two of Shaivism's most potent symbols in a single frame: the trishul, rising in three forged prongs from a central shaft, and the damru, the hourglass drum whose cosmic beat is said to have given birth to language itself. Threaded between them, or suspended just below, sits a rudraksha bead, the seed worn by ascetics and householders alike as a mark of devotion to Shiva. The piece is worked in sterling silver, its surface carrying the quiet lustre that comes from careful hand-finishing rather than machine buffing. At 1.65 inches in height and 0.85 inches in width (approximately 4.2 cm by 2.2 cm), and weighing just under 7 grams, it sits with presence but never weight. A smaller variant measures 1.25 inches in height by 0.75 inches in width (roughly 3.2 cm by 1.9 cm), for those who prefer a more intimate scale. Wear it against a handloom cotton kurta on Shravan Mondays, or layered over a Benarasi silk blouse as devotional jewellery at a family puja. It reads equally well as quiet spiritual adornment at a temple visit or as a considered everyday talisman. A simple bail allows the pendant to pass onto most chains. The sterling silver construction means it wears without tarnishing unduly against the skin, and the compact form makes it suitable for daily, unhurried wear.
