Description

There are symbols that do not merely decorate but declare. The trishul has been cast and finished here in sterling silver, its three-pronged silhouette rising to a height of two and a half inches (approximately 6.4 cm) across a width of one and two-tenths inches (approximately 3 cm). Sterling silver, hallmarked at 92.5 per cent pure silver, is a metal that rewards close work, and this pendant carries the weight of that tradition in its 8.6 grams: substantial enough to feel present at the throat, refined enough to wear without ceremony. The trishul as a motif belongs to a long lineage of devotional adornment, one that runs from the temple jewellery traditions of Nagercoil in Tamil Nadu to the silver craft ateliers of Rajasthan, where karigan hands have rendered sacred forms in white metal for generations. The finish here is clean and bright, letting the geometry of the prongs speak without embellishment. Wear it against the draped neckline of a cotton kurta for a quiet afternoon, where silver and weave hold a conversation in understated texture. Equally, it anchors a plain silk blouse worn under a Benarasi sari, lending the ensemble a devotional edge that feels earned rather than borrowed. The free-size pendant fits a standard chain or cord and requires no resizing. Sterling silver at this weight is durable for daily wear, and the smooth finish resists minor scratching well. A soft cloth is all it needs to stay bright.
