Description

She stands at the threshold between destruction and grace, and she holds nothing back. Cast in sterling silver and finished to a warm, oxidised depth that coaxes shadow into every line, this pendant presents Mahakali in her full ten-armed form, each hand carrying its sacred attribute with sculptural precision. She rises within a lion arch, the animal synonymous with Shakti and sovereignty, its mane framing her crown in a single, seamless composition. The iconography follows the devotional silver-casting traditions of Bengal and Odisha, where temple silversmiths have long rendered the goddess not as decoration but as darshan made portable. Weighing thirty grams and measuring approximately seven and a half centimetres in height by four and a half centimetres in width, the pendant has a presence that commands attention without demanding it. The sterling silver carries a natural cool-grey lustre wherever the high points catch light, while the recessed details remain deliberately darkened. Worn on a long oxidised silver chain over an off-white chanderi kurta, she anchors a look rooted in devotional minimalism. Equally, she holds her own against the silk of a Dhakai jamdani saree at a Puja gathering, where her iconographic weight becomes a conversation in itself. The piece is free-size and arrives ready to wear on any standard pendant chain. The oxidised finish is stable and does not require special storage. A gentle polish cloth, used occasionally on the raised surfaces only, preserves the intended contrast of light and shadow across the silver.
