Description

He who governs the day, now worn close to the heart. In the Navagraha tradition that has animated devotional silversmithing across temple towns from Nagercoil to Varanasi, Surya is rendered here in his full solar dignity. The obverse carries his iconic form, radiant and commanding; the reverse bears the Surya Yantra, that precise geometric map of solar energy used in sacred ritual. Cast and finished in sterling silver, the pendant weighs a confident 5.88 grams, its surface worked to hold both figurative detail and the clean, incised lines of the yantra's grid with equal precision. At 1.3 inches (approximately 3.3 cm) in height and 1 inch (approximately 2.5 cm) in width, the silhouette is neither too assertive nor too modest, sitting beautifully at the sternum on a simple silver chain. Wear it against the ivory drape of a Chanderi saree on a Sunday morning puja, letting the silver catch the early light. Equally, it reads with quiet authority tucked into an open-collared white linen kurta on days when intention matters more than occasion. The sterling silver is finished to a burnished, slightly antiqued tone that resists the flatness of high polish and deepens with wear. The pendant arrives as a free-size piece, suitable for any chain of standard thickness, making it an effortless and considered addition to a devotional or everyday rotation.
