Description

There are evenings when the sky cannot decide between dusk and moonrise, and this ring captures exactly that moment. Set in sterling silver, the ring centres on a cabochon rainbow moonstone, its adularescence shifting between pearl-white, silver and soft blue depending on the angle of light. Flanking it, small rubies introduce a quiet warmth, their deep red a deliberate counterpoint to the moonstone's cool luminosity. The band and setting are worked with a fine attention to proportion that recalls the delicate silverwork traditions of Rajasthan and the Deccan, where artisans have long understood how to let a stone speak without overwhelming it. The mounting stands eleven millimetres in height, giving the ring a presence that reads clearly on the hand without feeling architectural. At four grams, the piece sits lightly on the finger, the sterling silver carrying its characteristic cool-white lustre. For daytime, it pairs with a soft cotton kurta in ivory or sage, the moonstone reading like a quiet accent against natural fabric. In the evening, worn alongside a silk sari or a gathered chiffon dupatta, the ruby accents catch candlelight and the moonstone deepens its iridescence. Currently available in size seven, the ring suits a standard ring finger with ease. Sterling silver rewards gentle care and remains a practical choice for regular wear, developing a subtle patina over time that only adds to its character. At four grams, it travels well and rests easily in a jewellery roll without bulk.
