Description
A bloom caught mid-unfurl, set in the language of Kundan. The floral motif at the heart of this ring belongs to a long lineage of Rajasthani stone-setting, where a karigar positions each faceted stone not with a claw or bezel but with refined gold-toned foils pressed flush against the surface, holding colour in place through pressure and precision alone. That tradition, refined over centuries in the workshops of Jaipur, transforms a brass base into something that reads far richer than its metal. Here, the bloom opens across a wide face measuring 1.3 inches (approximately 3.3 cm) across and 1.1 inches (approximately 2.8 cm) in height, its petals and centre studded with Kundan-set stones in either a deep garden green or a warm ceremonial red. At fifteen grams, the ring carries real presence on the finger without becoming heavy. The brass foundation is finished with care, lending warmth beneath the stone-work. Wear the green variant with a tissue silk kurta and pearl drops for a daytime mehendi gathering; choose the red for a silk saree at a winter wedding reception, where it holds its own against brocade and candlelight without competing. The adjustable shank means it accommodates most finger sizes comfortably, making it a considered gift as much as a personal piece. The brass construction is suited to regular ceremonial wear, and the Kundan foil setting, when kept away from moisture, retains its lustre across many seasons of wearing.
