Description

There are symbols that do not merely decorate; they anchor. The trishul and damru together form one of the most charged visual pairings in the Shaivite canon, and here they are rendered in sterling silver with a directness that honours the iconography without embellishment. At one and a half inches tall and just under an inch wide (roughly 3.8 cm by 2 cm), the pendant holds its proportion beautifully: substantial enough to read clearly against fabric, refined enough never to overwhelm. Weighing 5.6 grams, the piece sits close to the chest with quiet authority. Sterling silver, worked and finished by hand, carries a satin-to-bright lustre that deepens at the recessed details of the trishul's three prongs and the hourglass body of the damru, where shadow and metal together do the work that enamel or stone might otherwise perform. This is silversmithing in its most concentrated form: line, form, devotion. Worn on a fine silver chain, it suits a white cotton kurta at a morning puja as naturally as it does a silk shirt at a family gathering during Mahashivratri or Shravan. The pendant's restraint also makes it a quiet companion to everyday wear, the kind of piece a discerning wearer reaches for without thinking. At free size, the pendant suits any chain gauge. The sterling silver construction is low-maintenance and holds its polish well with occasional gentle cleaning, making this a piece as practical as it is purposeful.
