Description

There is a quiet geometry in silver that speaks before words do. The triangle has held meaning across the subcontinent for centuries, appearing in yantra diagrams, temple spires and the pointed finials of antique thaali pendants from Nagercoil and coastal Bengal alike. This pendant honours that lineage without borrowing its ornamentation. Worked entirely in sterling silver, the piece presents the triangle as a clean, three-dimensional form, its surface carrying the soft burnished finish characteristic of contemporary Indian silversmithing that lets the metal itself do the talking. At one point four inches in height (approximately three and a half centimetres) by one point one five inches in width (approximately two point nine centimetres) and a quarter of a centimetre in depth, the silhouette is precise without severity. Weighing ten grams, it sits with a satisfying solidity, neither flimsy nor heavy against the collarbone. For daywear, thread it onto a fine oxidised silver chain over a handloom cotton kurta in natural ivory or indigo. For a quieter evening, let it anchor a silk blouse under a Chanderi dupatta, where its geometric restraint reads as deliberate and assured. The free-size pendant accepts any chain or cord of standard thickness. The sterling silver construction means it is suited to daily wear without anxiety; a gentle polish with a dry cloth keeps its surface bright. At ten grams, it travels easily and wears without strain.
