Description

There are syllables older than script, and the Om carries all of them. Cast in sterling silver, this pendant renders the sacred Om symbol with quiet authority, its curves and counter-curves resolved into a compact silhouette measuring approximately 2.5 cm in height and 1.9 cm in width, with a depth of just 0.46 cm. The weight sits at 7.2 grams, substantial enough to rest with presence against the sternum without burdening the neckline. The surface carries the cool, brushed lustre characteristic of well-finished sterling silver, neither over-polished nor left raw. The form draws on a Tibetan rendering of the Om, where the character is broader and more sculptural than its Devanagari counterpart, rooted in a metalworking tradition that prizes meditative geometry over ornament. No gemstone interrupts the composition; the silver itself is the statement, its grain and shadow doing the work of decoration. Worn on a fine silver chain against a white cotton kurta, it reads as devotional without being ceremonial. Paired with a silk shirt for an evening gathering, the same pendant becomes a considered, understated gesture of cultural rootedness. The free-size bail accepts chains of varying thicknesses, making it practical for everyday rotation between cords and chains already in your collection. At 7.2 grams of sterling silver, it is durable enough for daily wear, light enough to forget you have it on, and specific enough to remember why you chose it.
