Description

There is something quietly celestial about a sun cast in silver. This pendant traces a stylised solar disc in sterling silver, its radiating rays worked into clean, symmetrical relief around a central bezel set with a choice of five natural stones: deep black onyx, shifting labradorite, pale sky blue chalcedony, warm tiger eye, or the veined turquoise that has graced Indian adornment from Rajasthan's bazaars to the courts of Bikaner. The silverwork itself belongs to a long tradition of artisanal sterling craft practised across Rajasthan and Bengal, where karigars press motifs of sun, moon and lotus into metal as acts of devotion as much as decoration. The pendant measures one inch by half an inch (approximately 2.5 cm by 1.3 cm) and weighs a precise three grams, making it light enough for daily wear without feeling inconsequential at the collar. Worn on a fine silver chain against a white cotton kurta, it reads as understated heritage; paired with a printed silk blouse and tailored trousers for an evening gathering, the stone catches the light and the solar motif earns its place as a quiet focal point.
