Description

There are wheels that move the cosmos, and then there is this one, held quietly at the throat. The Sudarshan Chakra is among the most charged symbols in the Vaishnava tradition: the spinning discus of Vishnu, emblem of divine order and the destruction of adharma. Here it is rendered in sterling silver, its spoked form detailed with the precision that South Indian and Rajasthani silverwork both prize, the kind of patient repousse and die-work that karigars have given to devotional jewellery for generations. Cubic zirconia stones are set into the wheel's architecture, catching light the way a turning disc might catch the sun, without overwhelming the sacred geometry at the piece's heart. The pendant measures 1.5 inches in height by 1.25 inches in width (approximately 3.8 cm by 3.2 cm) and weighs 7.6 grams, substantial enough to be present, modest enough never to overstate. It is available in both silver and gold finishes. Wear it against the collarbone on a fine silver chain over a white cotton kurta for daily puja mornings, or layer it over a deep-toned silk blouse for a festive occasion where devotion and elegance arrive together. The free-size pendant suits any chain gauge in the wearer's collection. Sterling silver requires only occasional polishing with a soft cloth to hold its lustre. At 7.6 grams, it sits comfortably through long wear without fatigue.
