Description

There are nights when the moon holds every colour at once, and this ring was made for exactly that quality of light. Set in sterling silver, the ring centres a cabochon of rainbow moonstone, a gem prized across Indian craft traditions for its adularescence, that soft inner glow that shifts from blue to violet to pale gold depending on the angle of the hand. The silver is worked into a clean, low-profile bezel setting that cradles the stone without overwhelming it, allowing the moonstone's natural translucency to remain the sole conversation. Sterling silver has long been the chosen metal of Rajasthani and tribal silver traditions, where the emphasis falls on the integrity of the material rather than ornament for its own sake. At 5.6 grams, this ring is substantial enough to feel considered, yet light enough to forget you are wearing it. It comes in one size and measures a standard 20 inches (50.8 cm) in circumference. Worn against the ivory silk of a Chanderi kurta at a winter lunch, or paired with unbleached linen and a single strand of wooden beads for a weekend at the craft markets, the ring speaks without raising its voice. It belongs equally to ceremony and to ordinary Tuesday mornings. The bezel finish is smooth and snag-free, which makes this ring genuinely practical for daily wear. The silver will develop a gentle patina over time, a quality that collectors of handcrafted silver regard not as ageing but as the piece beginning to remember its wearer.
