Description

Where devotion meets the silversmith's quiet art, Radha and Krishna stand together in sterling. Carved in high-relief against a finely worked sterling silver ground, this pendant renders the eternal pair in the classical two-figure composition beloved by Bengal and Odisha's silver craftsmen for generations. Radha, graceful and tilted in her eternal three-bend posture, leans towards Krishna, whose flute-playing silhouette completes the devotional tableau. The surface work suggests a hand-chased finish, the figures emerging from the metal with a warmth that no machine pressing quite replicates. Sterling silver, at its characteristic cool lustre, carries the motif without distraction. At one and a half inches tall and three-quarters of an inch wide (approximately 3.8 cm by 1.9 cm), the pendant weighs five point eight seven grams, substantial enough to register against the collarbone yet delicate enough for daily wear. Pair this pendant with a silk cotton kurta and pearl studs for a Puja morning or a cultural evening; it reads equally well against the neckline of a simple ivory linen dress when worn by a diaspora wearer who carries her devotion quietly. The piece is offered in free size, suspended on a chain that passes through a standard silver bail. The sterling silver will develop a soft patina with wear, which a gentle polish cloth restores to its original brightness. An unobtrusive, meaningful piece built to last.
