Description

There are sounds older than language, and the Om is one of them. Cast in sterling silver by artisans working in the Himalayan craft tradition of Nepal, this pendant renders the sacred Om syllable in a form that is at once architectural and devotional. The silver has been worked to a clean, burnished finish, the curves of the syllable held within a compact silhouette measuring approximately 2.5 cm in height and 1.8 cm in width. At just 4 grams, it carries almost no weight on the body, yet its presence is entirely deliberate. Nepal's silversmithing heritage draws from both Hindu and Buddhist visual vocabularies, and this piece sits comfortably within that dual lineage, the Om rendered without ornament, trusting the symbol entirely to carry its meaning. No stone is set; no filigree distracts. The silver speaks plainly and well. Wear it on a fine silver chain against a cream or ivory kurta for daily puja mornings, or layer it over a simple white linen shirt as a quiet, considered statement for a weekend lunch or gallery visit. It pairs equally well with temple jewellery or with nothing at all beside it. The pendant is free-size, suited to any cord or chain you already own. Its modest weight and compact proportions make it genuinely wearable every day, from morning to evening, without snagging on fabric or feeling incongruous. For those who prefer meaning over decoration, this is exactly that.
