Description

There are devotions that fit in the palm of your hand, and this is one of them. The Kamala Yantra is among the most luminous of the tantric geometric forms, its concentric lotus petals and sacred diagram encoding the energy of Lakshmi, goddess of abundance and grace. Rendered here in sterling silver, the pendant is cast and finished by hand, its surface carrying the clean, cool weight that only solid silver possesses. The yantra's geometry is pressed with precision into the metal, each petal and angle reading sharply against a lightly polished ground. At just three grams and measuring approximately 2.9 centimetres in height by 2.3 centimetres in width, the piece sits close to the collarbone without burden. It belongs to a lineage of devotional silver jewellery found across Rajasthan and Bengal, where silversmiths have long translated sacred diagrams into wearable form. Slip it onto a fine silver chain beneath a crisp white kurta for a quiet daily practice made visible; or layer it over a silk printed sari blouse at a puja or festive gathering, where its sacred geometry will hold its own against richer textiles and colour. The pendant is free-size, suited to any chain gauge you prefer. Sterling silver develops a gentle patina over time, which a soft cloth restores in moments. The modest weight makes it a piece one truly forgets one is wearing, until the light catches it.
