Description

There are deities one wears close to the heart, and Ganesha is first among them. This Chaturbhuja pendant renders the four-armed Vighnaharta in sterling silver, each arm carrying its traditional attribute with the quiet authority that only hand-finished silverwork can hold. The silhouette stands 1.25 inches (approximately 3.2 cm) tall and 0.9 inches (approximately 2.3 cm) wide, a scale generous enough to command attention without overpowering the wearer. At 5.7 grams, the piece carries perceptible weight, the kind that reminds you it is there. Sterling silver of this finish belongs to a long tradition of devotional jewellery practised across Rajasthan and the temple silversmith quarters of South India, where artisans have shaped sacred iconography in white metal for generations. The surface reads with the warm, slightly oxidised depth that skilled silversmiths coax from the metal to lift form and detail from background, giving the four arms and the Ganesha visage a sculptural clarity no flat finish could achieve. Wear it on a fine silver chain over a silk kurta for a festival morning, or let it rest against a crisp white cotton shirt for a working day that still holds something sacred in it. The pendant is free size, suited to any chain gauge its bail accepts. Sterling silver worn against the skin develops a gentle patina over time; a soft cloth restores its original brightness quickly, making this a thoroughly practical piece of daily devotion.
