Description

There are forms so beloved by silversmiths that the hands learn them by heart. Chaturbhuja Ganesha, the four-armed remover of obstacles, has been cast and carved in sterling silver across workshops from Jaipur to Bengal for generations. This pendant renders him in his most auspicious aspect: four arms extended in blessing and gesture, his rounded form contained within a compact silhouette that measures just 1.1 inches in height by 0.6 inches in width (approximately 2.8 cm by 1.5 cm). Weighing a precise 4.43 grams, the piece carries the quiet density of well-worked silver. It is offered in two finishes: a bright Polish that catches light with a clean, contemporary gleam, and a Vintage finish that recalls the warm, oxidised silver of older temple treasures, where shadow deepens every carved recess and the deity's features gain definition and age. For daily devotion, thread it on a slender silver chain beneath a cotton kurta; the Polish finish pairs effortlessly with a crisp white or ivory. For occasions, the Vintage finish sits beautifully against a silk blouse in deep jewel tones, worn alongside simple oxidised bangles. Free-sized and finished for wear rather than display, this pendant is light enough to forget you are wearing it and fine enough to notice when you are not. Both finishes are suited to everyday contact with skin, and sterling silver's durability means the piece rewards years of faithful wearing.
