Description

There are prayers that fit in the palm of your hand, and some that rest quietly at the throat. The Om, written in its classical Devanagari form, is perhaps the oldest sonic symbol in human memory, and here it is rendered in sterling silver with the kind of restraint that lets the letterform speak entirely for itself. Sterling silver, at its standard 92.5 purity, carries a cool, honest lustre that neither overwhelms nor fades, and it suits this motif precisely because the sacred syllable has never needed ornament beyond its own shape. The pendant measures roughly 1.8 centimetres in height and 1.3 centimetres in width, and weighs just 1.7 grams, keeping the silhouette clean and the presence considered. No stones, no filigree, no gilding: only the hammered or cast form of the Aum, polished to a quiet shine against silver that develops gentle character with wear. Wear it on a fine silver chain with a white cotton kurta for morning rituals or quiet Saturdays at home. It sits equally well beneath an open collar on a linen shirt, visible just enough to mean something to those who recognise it. At free size, the pendant suits any chain gauge and any neck. Its modest weight means it lies flat without pulling, making it a considered choice for daily devotion, gifting at a naming ceremony or thread ceremony, or simply as a reminder worn close to the breath.
