Description

There is a quiet geometry to silver when it knows exactly what it wants to be. This pendant belongs to the understated lineage of Indian silversmithing that has long found its home in the workshops of Rajasthan and the Deccan, where the donut form, circular and self-contained, has been worked in metal for generations. Here, the silhouette is a smooth, open disc rendered in sterling silver, its surface animated by a hand-wrought spiral that coils outward from the centre with deliberate, unhurried precision. The spiral is neither decorative afterthought nor superficial embossing; it is the structural idea itself, shaped by hand pressure and patience. At 2.7 inches in height (approximately 6.9 cm) and 1.9 inches in width (approximately 4.8 cm), the pendant carries real visual presence. Weighing 24.39 grams, the sterling silver reads substantial on the hand before it is even lifted to the light, with a satin-brushed finish that refuses to shout. Wear it against an ivory handloom kurta in fine cotton for an afternoon that asks for nothing fussy, or let it anchor the open collar of a linen shirt-dress at an art opening or a curated gallery evening. It moves well in both worlds. The pendant is free size and requires only a chain or cord of your choosing to complete it. The sterling silver will age gracefully with use, developing a natural patina, and responds well to occasional polishing with a soft cloth.
