Description

There are skies older than language, and this pendant remembers them. Cast in sterling silver, the Star Design Turquoise Pendant draws from a lineage of celestial ornament that runs through Rajasthani silver work, where the eight-pointed star has long served as a talisman of protection and good fortune. The motif is rendered with quiet authority: a structured star silhouette, its points clean and deliberate, set at the centre with a turquoise cabochon whose particular blue carries the cool mineral depth of stone mined and prized across the subcontinent for centuries. Turquoise in silver is an old pairing in the craft vocabulary of Jaipur and Bikaner, where smiths understood that the stone's matrix and the metal's cool brightness belong together. The pendant measures approximately 4.6 cm in height by 4.4 cm in width, and weighs a considered 16 grams, giving it visible presence without heaviness.
