Description

There are devotions that do not require words, only the weight of silver against the heart. This pendant renders Hanuman in his standing, blessing posture, the figure worked in sterling silver by hands familiar with devotional iconography. The silhouette is upright and composed: the mace held with quiet authority, the form carved with enough relief to catch the light at every angle. Two finishes are available. The vintage finish settles into a warm, oxidised tone that deepens the contours and lends the piece an antiquity it has genuinely earned through its craft. The polished finish is brighter, cleaner, suited to those who prefer their silver to speak plainly. Sterling silver, at 5.52 grams, has just enough substance to be felt without being obtrusive. The pendant sits in the smaller vintage sizes at roughly 2.9 cm by 1.3 cm, and reaches its fullest expression at 3.8 cm by 1.9 cm in both the larger vintage and polished versions. Pair the vintage finish with a hand-loomed cotton kurta in indigo or ecru for a Tuesday morning that is also an act of prayer. The polished version belongs equally to a silk saree worn at a puja gathering or a family celebration where quiet faith deserves its own adornment. The free-size bail accommodates most chain widths, and the weight distribution ensures the pendant rests flat and centred without constant adjustment. Sterling silver worn daily develops a gentle patina that only deepens its character over time.
