Description

There are deities one worships and deities one carries close to the heart. This standing Chaturbhuja Ganesha is cast in sterling silver, his four arms bearing the attributes of blessing, protection and auspicious beginning that Vighnaharta has held across centuries of Indian devotional art. The silhouette is compact and upright, the modelling true to the iconographic canon: a full figure poised with the ease of divine authority, not merely decorative but theologically precise. Sterling silver lends itself naturally to this kind of devotional work. Its cool, bright surface holds fine relief detail without the visual noise of heavier alloying, and the choice between two finishes shapes the mood entirely. The Polish finish reads as contemporary and luminous; the Vintage finish settles the piece into an older, more weathered register, as though it has been handled and loved across generations. At 3.4 grams and measuring one inch in height by 0.45 inches in width (approximately 2.5 cm by 1.1 cm), the pendant sits light against the sternum. Thread it onto a black silk cord and wear it with a cotton kurta on a Tuesday morning, or slide it onto a delicate silver chain beneath a formal sari blouse for a festival where restraint says more than ornament. Both readings honour the piece equally. The free-size pendant suits most standard chains and cords without adjustment. The measured proportions make it appropriate for daily devotional wear, neither too prominent nor too receding, simply present.
