Description

There are faces that do not merely depict the divine; they hold it. This pendant renders the serene, jewel-crowned visage of Shrinathji, the beloved Nathdwara form of Lord Krishna, in sterling silver. The face is cast with devotional precision: the characteristic downward gaze, the elaborate mukut rising above, and the stylised features that Pushti Marg tradition has kept unchanged for centuries. Sterling silver, worked to a warm antique finish, gives the piece the quality of a temple heirloom rather than a contemporary ornament. At 1.3 inches height by 0.85 inches width (roughly 3.3 cm by 2.2 cm) and a substantial 6.25 grams, the pendant has satisfying presence without excess weight, the silver catching light with a quiet, unhurried glow. Wear it on a fine silver chain against a cream or ivory kurta for a morning puja visit, or layer it over a silk sari blouse at a family gathering where faith and festivity meet. It reads equally well against unstitched cotton and woven Banarasi. The free-size bail fits most standard chains. Sterling silver of this gauge wears with durability, and the antique finish is forgiving of daily contact. A soft dry cloth is sufficient for upkeep, preserving the depth of tone that makes this pendant feel less like jewellery and more like a kept promise.
