Description

There are prayers that do not require words, only the weight of silver at the throat. This pendant carries the form of Shri Swaminarayan rendered in sterling silver and finished in a deliberately aged, antique patina that deepens every engraved fold of the deity's garments and every fine line of the halo surrounding the figure. The antique finish is characteristic of a treatment long favoured by silversmiths working in devotional jewellery traditions across Gujarat and Rajasthan, where oxidised sterling is coaxed into warm, smoke-shadowed relief rather than polished brightness. At 1.15 inches in height (approximately 2.9 cm) and 0.5 inch in width (approximately 1.3 cm), the pendant is precisely scaled: present enough to be devotional, restrained enough to be worn daily. It weighs 5.56 grams, a satisfying solidity for a piece of this size. Thread it on a simple black cord for daily puja mornings paired with a crisp white cotton kurta, or suspend it from a fine silver chain against the neckline of a deep teal silk saree for a family gathering or religious celebration where understated devotion reads more eloquently than ornament. As a free-size pendant, it accepts chains of standard thickness with ease. The oxidised sterling silver resists casual tarnish better than plated alternatives, and a soft cloth is all that is needed to restore its antique warmth over years of faithful wear.
