Description

There are saints whose very name is shelter, and this pendant carries that shelter close to the chest. Cast in sterling silver and finished to an aged vintage patina, the Shri Swami Samarth pendant renders the revered Akkalkot saint in devotional relief, his form settled in darshan-worthy repose. The vintage finish deepens the recesses of the carving, drawing out the fine modelling of the figure in the manner of traditional silver repousse work, where shadow itself becomes a design tool. At 12 grams, the piece has the quiet substance that sterling silver devotional jewellery demands, neither delicate enough to feel incidental nor heavy enough to overwhelm. The vintage variant measures 1.25 inches by 1.15 inches (approximately 3.2 cm by 2.9 cm), slightly more generous than the standard polish size, which sits at 1.1 inches by 0.9 inches (approximately 2.8 cm by 2.3 cm). Worn on a simple oxidised silver chain, the pendant settles naturally against a plain cotton kurta or a soft linen shirt, becoming the sole focal point of the look. For a bhajan gathering or a temple visit, pair it with a chanderi dupatta in ivory and let the silver speak without competition. The pendant is offered in free size, designed to thread onto any chain of standard width. The vintage finish resists the flat brightness of polished silver, ageing gracefully with wear and requiring only occasional gentle cleaning with a soft dry cloth.
