Description

Bhairava does not merely protect; he transforms the space he inhabits. Cast in copper, a metal revered in Tantric and Shaiva traditions for its conductivity of intention, this circular pendant carries the fierce, time-honoured face of Shri Bhairava on one side. The iconography is precise: the wide-set eyes, the crown of matted hair, the expression that sits at the threshold between ferocity and grace. Turn it over and the Shri Bhairava Yantra is rendered with the same deliberate hand, its geometric scaffolding of triangles and sacred syllables pressed cleanly into the copper surface. At 0.9 inches in diameter (approximately 2.3 cm) and weighing 7 grams, the disc is substantial enough to be felt but not overbearing. The warm, oxidised reddish-brown of the copper deepens with wear, making the piece more personal with each year. For daily devotional wear, thread it on a black silk cord against a white cotton kurta, where the unadorned copper reads as quiet conviction rather than ornament. For more considered dressing, pair it with a deep indigo or ochre handwoven sari, letting this single pendant anchor an otherwise unadorned neckline. Sized as a free-fit pendant at a consistent 0.9 inches, it suits most bails and chains already in a collection. The copper requires only occasional gentle cleaning to maintain its clarity; it is a piece built for regular contact with the skin, growing richer and more resonant with faithful wear.
