Description

Devotion, rendered in silver, worn close to the heart. Shani Dev, the stern and just among the Navagrahas, has been venerated through metal for centuries, his image pressed and cast by silversmiths across Rajasthan and Bengal who understood that divinity deserves precision. This pendant renders his presence in sterling silver, a material long associated with lunar clarity and ritual purity. The relief work captures the deity in recognisable iconographic form, the surface carrying the depth that only hand-finished silver achieves. At one and a quarter inches in height and one and a quarter inches in width (approximately 3.2 by 3.2 centimetres), the pendant sits as a compact, weighted medallion. Weighing 6.87 grams, it carries enough substance to feel intentional without burdening the neckline. Pair it with a deep navy or black kurta on a Saturday, the day traditionally consecrated to Shani, allowing the silver to read against dark cloth with quiet authority. It is equally composed worn with a simple white cotton shirt on ordinary days, a private acknowledgement of faith beneath everyday life. The free-size bail accommodates most chain widths, from a fine box chain to a slightly heavier silver rolo, and the sterling construction resists tarnish with minimal care. A soft cloth and occasional mild polish will maintain its cool, considered lustre across years of devotional wear.
