Description

She has been worshipped at crossroads and coastlines long before temples had names. Mogal Maa, a localised and fiercely beloved form of the goddess venerated across Gujarat and parts of Rajasthan, here takes her seat in sterling silver, cast and finished by hand to capture every attribute of her iconography: the composed posture, the frontal gaze, the layered crown. At 1.3 inches high and 1 inch wide (roughly 3.3 cm by 2.5 cm), the pendant carries surprising presence for its scale, and its 7.7 grams give it a satisfying, grounded weight against the chest. The silver surface reads as a warm, oxidised grey in the recessed lines, brightening to a polished sheen on the raised planes, a contrast technique that brings the goddess's silhouette into relief without embellishment or stone setting. This is devotional silversmithing in its most direct form: the faith and the craft fused into a single, small object. Worn on a fine silver chain, she suits a morning prayer visit as naturally as a quiet evening in handloom cotton or raw silk. Pair her with a Maheshwari sari and simple silver ear studs, or with a linen kurta and no other jewellery at all, letting her be the singular statement. The free-size bail accommodates most chains and cords. The oxidised finish is stable for daily wear and requires only a soft dry cloth to maintain its depth. A pendant for the quietly devoted.
