Description

There are scrolls that do not unravel, only deepen. This ring is built around an oval turquoise cabochon, its surface the colour of a winter sky over Rajasthan, held within a sterling silver bezel that rises almost an inch (approximately 2.4 cm) from the finger. What surrounds it is the real conversation: tight scrollwork tracery, each spiral coiling into the next with the deliberate patience of a silversmith who learned his grammar from the filigree traditions of Rajasthan and Odisha, where silver is never left plain when it can be made to speak. The scrolls frame the stone without crowding it, leaving air between the metal and the turquoise so the gem's natural veining catches light at every angle. At 19.4 grams, the ring has the settled weight of something made to last, not to impress fleetingly. The sterling silver carries a warm, slightly antiqued finish that suits the stone's chalky blue-green depth. Wear it against an ivory chanderi kurta for a literary evening or a gallery opening, where understatement reads as confidence. It pairs equally well with a block-printed cotton saree and bare wrists, letting the ring carry the entire ornamental argument. The ring is offered in one universal size and measures 0.95 inches (approximately 2.4 cm) in height, making it a generous statement piece without tipping into theatrical. Sterling silver requires minimal upkeep; a soft cloth is all it asks for between wearings.
