Description

There are pendants that whisper, and there are pendants that speak in full sentences. This tribal pendant necklace is cast in brass and finished to evoke the raw, earth-rooted aesthetic of adivasi and folk jewellery traditions, where form has always carried meaning before ornament. The pendant front stretches to 5.5 inches (approximately 14 cm), a generous, statement-making drop shaped with the bold geometry that characterises craft lineages from Rajasthan's interior districts and the tribal belts of central India. The surface treatment mimics the needle-fine inclusions of rutilated quartz, threading a mineral quality through the brass, as though the metal itself has been caught mid-crystallisation. At roughly 115 grams, the piece carries real heft, the kind that reminds the wearer they are holding something made by hand, not poured from a mould. Wear this necklace over a raw-silk kurta in ivory or ochre for an afternoon cultural gathering, letting the brass command the neckline without competition. It pairs equally well over a block-printed cotton dress at a craft market or a weekend art fair, where its provenance reads immediately and honestly. The chain measures 15 inches (approximately 38 cm) in length, sitting cleanly at the collarbone on most frames, and the piece is offered at a free, standard fit. Brass develops a gentle patina with time and is best cleaned with a soft dry cloth; avoid prolonged contact with moisture to preserve the finish.
