Description

There is a particular beauty in silver that has not been smoothed into submission. This ring belongs to a lineage of boldly worked sterling silver jewellery that flourishes in the craft corridors of Rajasthan and the tribal silver traditions of central India, where the metal is treated not as a backdrop but as the statement itself. The band and bezel carry a deliberately rugged finish, the surface textured and unpolished in places, so that light falls across it unevenly, the way it falls across stone or bark. The gemstone sits in an open bezel or prong setting, raised at a height of 18 mm, giving the piece real presence on the hand. Offered in four colour pairings, iolite with blue topaz, rainbow moonstone with blue topaz, yellow topaz with citrine, and blue topaz alone, each combination shifts the character of the ring entirely: cool and planetary, milky and lunar, warm and honeyed, or simply, cleanly blue. Wear it with a handloom cotton kurta for a craft fair or a Sunday afternoon; equally, it reads well against the cuff of a fine wool coat when you want one element of warmth and intention in an otherwise spare ensemble. The ring is available in sizes 6.5 and 7.5, and weighs 6.2 grams, substantial enough to feel meaningful on the finger without becoming cumbersome through a long day. Sterling silver at this weight wears in gracefully, deepening at the texture over time.
