Description

There are nights when moonlight pools in silver, and someone, somewhere, decides to wear that moment on their hand. Rawa work is the art of granulation carried into South Asian silversmithing: tiny spheres of sterling silver, each no larger than a seed, fused by hand onto a base to build texture, depth and a surface that catches light the way dew does on morning grass. This ring wears that technique across a broad, architectural band that rises to a height of roughly 2.8 cm (1.1 inches) and spreads 2.15 cm (0.85 inches) across the finger, its silhouette commanding without being heavy. At its centre sits a rainbow moonstone, set so the stone's adularescence, that floating blue-white glow, reads clearly against the matte warmth of granulated silver. The ring weighs 8.5 grams, substantial enough to feel intentional on the hand. Sterling silver, cool and honest, requires no apology for not being gold; here, it is the only right choice. Wear it against a fine cotton kurta in off-white or pale grey for afternoon meetings where restraint is its own elegance. Equally, it holds its own at an evening gathering alongside raw-silk separates, where the moonstone's shifting iridescence does the speaking. Currently offered in size 8, the ring's broad face distributes weight comfortably across the finger without pinching. Sterling silver benefits from occasional polishing with a soft cloth; the granulated surface, intricate as it is, asks for gentle care and rewards it with years of quiet, considered beauty.
