Description

There are planets, and then there are forces that demand to be worn close to the body. This Rahu Yantra pendant carries one of the most potent geometries in Hindu cosmology: the yantra dedicated to Rahu, the shadow planet whose influence Vedic tradition treats with equal measures of reverence and caution. Cast in copper, the metal that Ayurvedic and astrological practice has long associated with planetary remediation, the pendant presents the yantra's concentric squares, sacred numerals and border inscriptions in a flat, relief-pressed composition. Copper's warm, oxidised reddish-brown surface gives the piece an intentionally austere finish, the kind that prioritises devotional sincerity over ornament. At one inch in height (approximately 2.5 cm) and three-quarters of an inch in width (approximately 1.9 cm), and weighing a precise 1.8 grams, it sits close to the sternum without bulk or imposition. No stone setting interrupts the geometry; the yantra speaks entirely through form and metal. Worn on a simple black thread or a slender copper chain, this pendant suits daily sadhana practice as naturally as it does a considered minimalist outfit, a white kurta, perhaps, or a plain silk blouse on an auspicious occasion. For those observing planetary remedies prescribed in a Jyotish consultation, it pairs meaningfully with a copper kada on the same wrist. Free-sized and requiring no resizing, the pendant is light enough for all-day wear. The copper will develop a natural patina over time, deepening the piece's quiet, devotional character.
