Description

She carries knowledge on one face and its sacred geometry on the other. Copper has been the devotional metal of India long before gold claimed the altars, and this two-sided pendant honours that ancient hierarchy. One face bears the image of Goddess Saraswati, veena in hand, seated in the composure of pure learning. Turn it over and her Yantra appears: the precise, interlocking geometry that is her invoked presence rendered in line rather than likeness. The pendant weighs a grounded 10 grams and measures approximately 3.8 centimetres in height and 3.3 centimetres in width, a proportion neither too assertive nor too retiring. Copper's warm, reddish-brown tone deepens over time, and many wearers welcome this patina as a mark of daily devotion rather than a flaw to be polished away. The piece belongs to a lineage of simple, unembellished devotional jewellery worn across South and Central India, where intention always outranks ornament. Wear it on a black cotton thread against a soft Mangalgiri cotton kurta during Vasant Panchami, or suspend it on a fine copper chain beneath the collar of a silk blouse at a Saraswati Puja gathering. It reads as quietly spiritual without demanding attention. Sized to suit all wearers, the pendant's flat silhouette sits flush against the sternum and does not catch on fabric. Copper is lightweight enough for everyday wear, and its natural antimicrobial quality makes it a practical companion from morning prayer through a long working day.
