Description

There is a quiet authority in a stone that has nothing to prove. Jasper has been carved, set and venerated across civilisations for millennia, and this pendant asks nothing more of it than to be itself. Cut into a clean pear silhouette and cradled in sterling silver, the setting is restrained by design: a smooth bezel wraps the stone with just enough metal to hold it firmly, letting the natural pattern of the jasper read without interruption. Sterling silver, worked without gilding or plating, develops its own character over time, its cool satin surface a deliberate counterpoint to the warm, earthy tones of the stone. The pendant measures approximately 3.3 cm in height and 2.5 cm in width, with a depth of just 0.8 cm, and weighs 17.6 grams. Slender enough to lie flat, substantial enough to be noticed. Wear it over a fine cotton kurta in ecru or slate for a weekend that asks for thought rather than occasion.
