Description

The peacock has always known how to wear itself. This double-ring silhouette stretches nearly seven centimetres from base to tip, a single articulated piece that wraps across two fingers at once, anchored by a peacock in full display and framed by trailing floral scrollwork. The form belongs to a long tradition of statement finger armour found at folk jewellery fairs in Rajasthan and among the theatrical adornment of classical dancers, here rendered in brass with a warm antique finish that deepens every engraved line. At seventeen grams, the piece carries genuine presence without strain. The peacock motif, a bird sacred in Indian iconography and endlessly reinterpreted by karigars across Jaipur and Bikaner, sits at the centre of the composition, its tail feathers dissolving into the floral lattice that surrounds it. The adjustable shank ensures the ring sits securely across different finger widths without tools or fuss. Wear it against a deep teal or indigo silk kurta at a mehendi or sangeet and the brass will catch the evening light with a burnished glow. It reads equally well with a plain white cotton kurta and minimal other jewellery, where the architecture of the piece becomes the full conversation. The adjustable design accommodates most finger sizes comfortably. At 2.75 inches in height by 0.60 inches in width (approximately 7 cm by 1.5 cm), it is bold in scale yet polished enough for repeated wear. Brass, well-stored, holds its warmth for years.
