Description

There are stones that do not merely catch the light; they hold it, honey-warm and layered, the way late afternoon does. This oval tiger eye ring is set in sterling silver worked into fine scrollwork that encircles the stone like a cartouche from an older, slower world of silversmithing. The scrollwork tradition here owes something to the filigree sensibility long practised in Rajasthan and Odisha, where silver wire is coaxed into continuous, rhythmic curves by hand. The tiger eye itself is cabochon-cut, its chatoyant band of silken gold shifting across a ground of deep amber-brown as the hand moves. At 21.5 grams, the ring has genuine presence on the finger, the kind of weight that announces itself quietly. The setting height of 0.9 inches (approximately 2.3 cm) gives the piece an architectural verticality rather than a flat, commercial look. Wear it against a silk chanderi kurta in ivory or ochre for a daytime wedding function, where its warm tones will read as intentional rather than incidental. For evening, pair it with a deep teal or wine georgette, letting the scrollwork catch candlelight the way antique silver always does. Offered in one universal size and crafted in sterling silver, the ring requires only standard silver care: a soft cloth, kept from prolonged moisture. The scrollwork's open channels are finished without sharp edges, making this a comfortable everyday statement for those who see jewellery as a quiet, daily ritual.
