Description

There is a particular blue that belongs to evening: deep, faceted, unhurried. This sterling silver ring centres an oval-cut blue sapphire, its facets arranged to draw light inward and hold it there. The stone is set in a raised bezel, climbing just 0.15 inches (approximately 0.38 cm) above the finger, with a perimeter of cubic zirconia that catch ambient light without competing with the sapphire's cool depth. Sterling silver, at once modern and classically Indian in its use across silver-working traditions from Rajasthan to Bengal, gives the band a polished, reflective finish that suits the formality of the stone. The complete piece weighs 2.76 grams, light enough to forget you are wearing it, substantial enough to register when you move your hand. It is available in size 7.5. Wear it against the ivory silk of a Chanderi kurta at a winter dinner, where the blue reads like a note of ink against pale cloth. It belongs equally on the hand of someone in a white linen shirt at a gallery opening, where understatement is its own eloquence. The low profile at 0.15 inches (approximately 0.38 cm) sits flush to the hand, making it practical for daily wear without snagging on fabric. Sterling silver responds well to a soft polishing cloth, and the secure bezel setting keeps the stone protected through the unhurried rhythms of an ordinary day.
