This oval cabochon ring is set in sterling silver, the stone's warm honey-and-cognac depth held within a bezel that follows the gentle dome of the gem without interrupting it. The setting is clean and deliberate: no filigree distracts, no granulation competes. What the silversmith has chosen, instead, is restraint, allowing the amber itself, with its resinous inner glow and the slight translucency that distinguishes natural material from imitation, to do all the speaking.
