Description

Nine stones, one ancient grammar of light. The navaratna is not a decorative conceit but a cosmological arrangement, each of the nine gems assigned to a celestial body, worn to gather their combined favour. This pendant translates that tradition into a marquise silhouette, an elongated almond shape that has been a jeweller's favourite in both Mughal ateliers and the silver workshops of Rajasthan. Set in sterling silver, the stones are arranged in the classic cluster formation, the central gem held by claw or bezel settings with its companions radiating outward. At 1.3 inches tall (roughly 3.3 cm) and 0.5 inches wide (roughly 1.3 cm), the pendant is precisely scaled: present enough to read as intentional, restrained enough to wear daily. The piece weighs 10 grams, giving it a perceptible, satisfying heft on the chain. Thread it onto a fine sterling silver chain over a raw-silk kurta in ivory or sage for a quiet weekday elegance. Equally, it rewards an evening occasion layered against a Banarasi blouse, where its polychrome stones echo the woven colours beneath. The free-size pendant arrives ready to pair with any chain of your choosing. Sterling silver, properly finished, holds its surface well against daily wear and wipes clean with a soft cloth. The marquise form, narrow and vertical, suits both long chains and shorter princess lengths, sitting neatly against the collarbone without catching on fabric.
