Description

Copper holds memory the way no other metal does, warm-toned, ancient, already knowing. The Navagraha Shanti Kavacha Pendant is a devotional talisman rooted in Vedic astrology, cast to honour and pacify the nine planetary forces that govern a lifetime. Both faces of this two-sided pendant carry distinct iconographic registers: one bears the collective invocation of the Navagrahas, the other a protective Kavacha inscription, together forming a complete ritual object rather than mere ornament. Worked in copper, a metal revered in Agamic tradition for its conductivity of prayer and its purifying properties, the piece carries the quiet authority of temple-town craft. The warm reddish patina of uncoated copper deepens with wear, making each pendant subtly singular over time. At 1.3 inches (approximately 3.3 cm) in height and 1 inch (approximately 2.5 cm) in width, weighing 10 grams, it is compact enough to sit close to the body, precisely where a kavacha belongs. Wear it on a plain black cotton cord against a handloom cotton kurta for daily puja mornings, letting the copper read as intention rather than adornment. On more considered days, layer it on a thin gold chain over a silk blouse for a quiet conversation between the sacred and the elegant. The free-size pendant suits any cord or chain of standard gauge. Copper responds to skin warmth graciously; a gentle wipe with a dry cloth preserves its lustre. This is a piece for daily devotion and unhurried wearing.
